So bowling shirts, it’s a trend, has it captured you yet?

Basically I’ve always been into that retro look that says; I go bowling after work and we drink milkshakes and listen to Rock n Roll….
I was a big Grease fan as a kid, I think that says it all no?

I’ve acquired about 3 so far and the one I’m wearing in todays blog post is from HUF. It’s bright and bold and 100% here for it to be honest. Clashing with my pastel pink and lilac hair tones I feel a bit like an anime character or a character from Scott Pilgrim Vs The World (which I’m secretly going for).

If you don’t understand what I’m talking about:

Scott Pilgrim (MICHAEL CERA) and Ramona Flowers (MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD) in the amazing story of one romantic slacker?s quest to power up with love: the action-comedy “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”.

Sakura from Naruto:

French from Grease:

So after taking style inspiration from fictional characters I mixed that with just my own punk rock aesthetic and headed out to try out a new lunch spot. Well new to me… The Good Yard in Bank.

I had a green tea and a hot rice box with halloumi, there are vegan vegetarian and meat options, see here.

I was really impressed by the rice box and left nicely full after woods, perfect for lunch! It’s a small coffee bar but there is room to sit inside and outside (which is covered). I really enjoyed my lunch and tea and the area ‘Leadenhall’ is really vintage looking and was used as a location for one of the Harry Potter movies. It’s full of cool food places, wine shops, arts and crafts shops etc. A lovely spot for a rainy day.

What am I wearing?

Jacket and Skirt – Levis

Shirt – HUF

Trainers – Vans

Tee – Stussy Womens
