I was lucky enough to be asked to design my own Nike Air Max 95 HTM iD’s for Air Max day this year. The HTM experience is all about the design tripartite that is; Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker. Some of the most well respected Nike designers of all time.
To explain further: “Through Nike’s personalization service, NIKEiD, consumers can participate in the artistic process alongside the famed trio via exclusive material and colour choices. The exclusive colour palettes and materials, informed by the respective designers, explore the stories that have inspired the collective for the past 14 years.”
I chose Hiroshi’s Air Max 95 which features a colour palette inspired by Fragment Design’s signature neutral hues and the ability to capture the metallic beauty of mercury. Out of the palette I chose a white / cream base with grey detailing in all suede. I wanted to keep the design classic and simple because understated is so underrated!
I’m extremely happy with the results and am keeping these babies for best.
