Have you seen a better faux fur coat than this?
On a typical Friday in London I shot this set of images for my blog.
After a long morning styling a cover shoot for Courier Magazine, I headed to meet my pal Skai for some tea.
I was shooting in West London so we met up at Nottinghill, with it’s pretty pastel houses and lovely restaurants.
After a stroll around we went to Uli for some tea and nibbles and I can fully recommend it for Asian food and drinks!
I had Wok-fried daikon cakes with bean sprouts(v) £7.5 and they made sure it was gluten free by swapping Soy Sauce for Tamari and god damn it was so tasty!
We both also had Edamame with rock salt(v) £4.00 <– enough for a good snack and very yum and some really nice teas.
It was cold yesterday (this was shot yesterday), so I wrapped up in my fave’ faux fur by Jakke. If you follow me you will know I have a thing for flames…since I was about 11 I’ve been obsessed. When I saw this coat online I nearly lost my marbles. It had to be mine!
I decided to team it with some casual smart and went with these check trousers, sporty jumper, checkerboard Vans Slip ons and this faux leather baker boy hat. My simple choker and embroidered belt finalise the look with my plain black rucksack.
There’s a lot going on in this look but because I’ve kept the colour pallet minimal it works.
Under my jumper I wore a long-sleeve black tee with a layered red silk vest. this meant I can go from a cosy look to a slightly dressier vibe in a restaurant / for drinks environment throughout the day. And also allowed me to look smarter on set in the morning when I was working.
I’m always a purveyor of smart meets casual and my adding little things like this hat, and the vest it takes this cosy look into smarter and cooler realm.
