I’m currently in the Cotswolds, which is where I grew up, visiting my family and having some down time. When I’m here it’s all about relaxing, family time and fresh air.
I’ve recently started a love affair with a black beret. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try, and have attempted over the years but honestly never got right. I mean I probably shouldn’t say that like I have nailed it now…but I think I have! I’m owning that…I’ve nailed it.
As some of you will know I love combining styles and the beret look has definitely been picked up from 90’s womenswear by me. I’m a 90’s kid and a little bit of me always wants to be a character from Clueless but mixed with a 90’s skater. That’s where I balance myself out, I can never be full girly girl.
So as you can see a classic pair of chucks and a Supreme baseball jacket have been mixed with a polo-neck and beret (a la Clueless) to get todays style fix. I went for skinny trousers as they are super comfy and show off my figure to keep it flattering.
The balance of oversized jacket and slimline trousers is a key element to pulling off boyish trends. I mean by all means baggy on baggy can look rad, but usually it’s best to balance it out.
