Would you take your shoes to get cleaned professionally or do them yourself at home?
If you care about your trainers and shoes and ‘collect’ them in such a way you don’t want to wear them out too quickly; you probably want a professional clean.
Putting my details in the system at the Jason Markk store:
Jason Markk are one of the best shoe cleaning and repel brands in the world. Their premium products clean any material like magic and their repel keeps your shoes cleaning for longer.
They now have a UK flagship store on Carnaby Street and I headed to check it out this week. The store is above the size? store: 32-34 Carnaby St, Carnaby, London W1F 7DN
I took two very different types of trainers from my collection. Firstly my Adidas NMD CS2 Primeknit in cream. I had worn these on the beach in Ibiza last summer and although they were still in good condition they needed a clean up from sand and dust.
The second pair: Jordan 3’s from 2010, are just in constant need of love and attention due to their age.
The store isn’t huge but it doesn’t really need to be. The design and layout make it feel airy and the displays are so clean. There’s a waiting area with magazines to read (the dopest in streetwear and sneakers of-course).
There are sections to shop all the JM products and also related accessories.
I love how the finished trainers are displayed on the back wall, exactly how I want mine to look but I have TOO many pairs and boxes to make it look this good right now…
The boiler suit uniforms the guys wear are Dickies, and to be honest you can’t get much cooler than that.
How does it work?
All you do is go in, choose your service from the list and the guys will advise you on which option will work best for your shoes. Prices start at £11, and you can choose the turn around time. Then you input your details into the system so they can track who owns which pair of shoes and what needs to be done to them.
It’s really simple, and they showed me some examples of really dirty shoes that they have managed to bring back to life.

Socks – Monki – sold out but buy similar Diesel ones here.

Here’s a close up of the Jordan’s pre cleaning.
Being cleaned:
My laces were even taken out, cleaned and replaced. Also, can we talk about how my friend below in the Jason Markk uniform is called Heaven-Lee! What a cool name and very cool dude!
Finished Jordan’s:
Both the shoes finished and clean:
Don’t they look brand new!
