I’ve never been to the Isle of Wight Festival before or Bestival and I’ve always felt like I’ve been missing out.
But last weekend I had the opportunity / an invite to the Isle of Weight Festival. You have to go on a ferry or hover boat to get to the festival, which sounds like the ultimate adventure. If when reaching the other side I had a small cramped tent then I might think again. But if you can get a yurt, camper van or something similar then it’s worth it for sure!
We had the pleasure of staying in a large Yurt with power supplies, a mirror, a table, floor beds and it was tall enough to stand in; ideal!
I went to the Isle Of Wight Festival with Palladium shoes for the launch of their collaboration with ‘Smiley.’ I also went along with some other influencer mates including Sophie Hannah Richardson and boyfriend Robin, Skai (Scent Of Blanc), Gabbi Gzimailaite and Tommy Brady. We had a blast as it was a great group of people and everyone from both brands were incredibly friendly.
The Festival is pretty big, you can’t really get bored easily as there are so many ride, food and drinks stands, lots of music tents and stages and luckily for us the VIP area where Palladium and Smiley were based with a gifting area for artists. That area was also really useful to us as they had sofas which provided a chill out area between bands and wondering around. And obviously filming and taking photos which is our job, and the reason we were attending the festival.
We got to see acts such as Example, David Guetta and the incredible Run DMC which made my weekend; I love Run!
The choice of food trucks was pretty vast; I mean it’s uaully quite hard for me to find places but I managed to find something most days including finding an amazing Gluten Free Pancake place on the last day. We also found a Freak Shake van which was totally naughty but worth it.
