Here’s my quandary; I love streetwear but I’m not a teenager anymore, plus I like to look vaguely like a woman.  So how do I mix being a grown up, being stylish, vaguely tomboy and girly with my love for streetwear too?

Well todays outfit is one answer to that question. Brixton (an American company nothing to do with South London unfortunately) are a very cool lifestyle clothing and hat brand with a passion for music and culture. I’m always trying to balance a sartorial, sophisticated look based on one of their hats into my wardrobe and quite often find it hard. I don’t want to look like a cowboy, although some people kill that look it’s just not totally me. What I’ve realised is a subtle tailoring vibe mixed with a streetwear/skate-brand tee is a good way to do this.

By wearing a tailored jacket and trousers of some sort, tucking in a baggy tee to give it more of a feminine look and adding trainers, the hat then totally works. This will be my way of balancing it out now, another way is going to be a hat like this with a cute summer dress and trainers / skate socks… so look out for that over summer!

I’ve also left my VSCO preset below on my pictures to show you how I edit them.
