Here’s a post for the girls who like to be glam, but aren’t going to a fancy event for NYE. Maybe you’re going to a house party, dinner and drinks or just a bar. You still want to dress up but this isn’t a big fancy party so you don’t want to look overdressed. So where’s the balance?
I’m always having these conversations with girl friends about what to wear when trying to be somewhere in the middle of glam and casual. So i’ve put together this outfit as a fun middle ground.

Lets start with the glam bits – the top and necklace are my key dressed up pieces. The fitted plunge body shows off just enough skin to feel dressy without being over the top or feeling too revealing. And the beautiful necklace adds that element of sophistication.

I’ve kept the colour palate simple but christmassy, black with a hint of red wine, so this is easy to achieve and put together by anyone and will also suit almost anyone too.

The trousers, jacket and boots are all that edge of smart/casual. The boots are cool and edgy with an on trend chunky sole, small heel and bring that red wine colour back into the outfit by balancing it out on the bottom of my look. The jacket is warm (practical) and the biker like silhouette is smart on the edge of cool. The leather look trousers keep things sexy but mean you don’t have to have your legs out to look dressed up. The leather-look finish adds a touch of glam rather than just a black jean.
