Another Space London is one of the newest offerings the city has to give in premium gym clubs. The difference with Another is that it is a purely class based gym offering 3 core classes: Cycle, HIIT and Yoga. There’s no joining fee and no membership you just book in and go!
I personally love the idea as I’m always so busy I do find it hard to know which gym to sign up to, whether it’s the best for where ever I am working, which is always different and also I find I work much better in classes than on my own.
I have tried the cycle and it was amazing but super intense, to be honest there’s no point in going if you aren’t going hard! It’s worth the effort and the best thing is it’s constantly changing, you don’t just peddle, the music is upbeat and it all keeps you going til the very end.
Yoga is something I really want to get more involved in. I’ve tried hot yoga once before at Third Space and loved it, so it was great to give it a go at Another Space. The temperature was around 30 degrees, and is totally bearable. I find myself feeling really stretched and relaxed after any kind of yoga but I can definitely tell the difference the hot room makes to my muscles. I feel even more free to try and push myself. The lovely Jessica Sky took the class and she’s such a great instructor, relaxing, funny, charming and won’t push you past what you are capable of.
You can pre-order a smoothie / protein shake for after your class which is the perfect re-fuel when you are on the go and they are really tasty. I struggle sometimes to enjoy protein shakes, they can be chalky or bitty in some places and I know I need them, but the ones at Another are delicious. See the menu here.
