Today I’m doing double denim while my mate John does denim and cord.

I wanted to show a bit of a sartorial / heritage silhouette in todays look with big unisex appeal.

My mate John Jarrett is another creative type, blogger, stylist, photographer, videographer… you name it! He comes from a streetwear background and now is very sartorial, a smart meets heritage denim look can be found on him most days. He is one half of blogging duo We Are Outlanders  and a member of Individualism.

I recently had the chance to customise this Levis denim jacket – read about it here. I’ve had these wide leg, drop pocket Levis for years and this stripey teeshirt is from a recent Levis collection. I just found myself wanting to wear it all together and felt like shooting it with John made sense.

These felt Converse Chuck Taylor Hi’s finished off the look and tied in the red / navy striped tee to the rest of the look.

I can wear these jeans low but I decided to belt them to give myself some kind of femininity and shape. The fitted jacket helps too as does tucking in the Tee-shirt, 3 simple rules to making a tomboy look have a flattering silhouette.

I’ll be doing more and more sartorial here and there, so keep your eyes peeled!
