It’s been 3 years since I’ve visited Cardiff. I went to University in Caerleon which is just outside of Newport and Cardiff, I spent 6 years living between Newport and Cardiff and very much love South Wales. If you haven’t been before I won’t lie Newport isn’t where you should go; unless you want to hit up Le Pub then you should definitely go but leave straight after and head back to Cardiff! Okay it’s not that bad, but Cardiff has a lot more to offer!
Cardiff is one of the UK’s friendliest cities in my opinion. Plus it’s fun, has a great music scene, clubbing scene and lots of restaurants. The bay is beautiful and over the last 20 years a lot of money has been spent in general to renovate this city to a modern and wonderful state.
The lovely guys at Travelodge said they would put me up for the whole weekend in Cardiff Bay, so I was stoked to be heading back to my old home! Double joy also because it’s the weekend of one of my best mates wedding. Friday was the wedding and the rest of the weekend was planned for hanging out and catching up and exploring.
Above you can have a spy at some of the items I took down with me. Below are some images of what the Travelodge was like inside and outside. Also what I wore each day and what I ate!
Below
Bra – Live!
Leggings – Reebok
I wore a strappy dress from Glamorous and strappy shoes from Ego to the wedding which was held inside the amazing Millennium Centre. I went with a bit of a rose gold/ bronze theme for the evening which was fun. Usually I’m a big silver fan because of my hair colour but it was nice to switch it up.
Saturday night night we went to Bills in the Bay and had the below feast. The Pink lemonade really made my meal and it’s always awesome when I ask for something gluten free or basically a burger without the bun and they make it well.
My Travelodge room was on the top floor in the Business floor, which is the quietest floor. It had a nice view of the city and comfortable and clean. It had everything you would need including a good TV and nice shower. The mirrors were great which is always key when getting ready to go out!
The breakfast had a great selection every morning of both continental and english (hot food). I might have taken full advantage to my waist lines dismay… But that’s what it’s there for!
On the Saturday I wore a jacket by Monki, top by Brand Attic, Cheap Monday jeans and Ego boots.
On the last day I went into Cardiff central for catch ups and food with friends wearing a Monki jacket, Rolling Stones tee, Brand Revolution skirt and Puma shoes. See more of my outfit details on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kittycowell/
On Sunday I wore another Monki jacket, a Rolling Stones tee by Bravado, a skirt by Brand Attic and shoes are Puma Basket Platforms @ Footlocker.
