I’ve been really busy with styling work lately and I want to show you behind the scenes a lot more through my blog.

This week started with a shoot for Highsnobiety; one of my favourite online platforms and print magazines.

The shoot was with J Stash, who I have styled before (for Notion Magazine) and I really like him. He makes dope rap music, has loads of very cool tattoos and is a really nice, chill dude. He’s got a great sense of style and I love that he trusts me to bring different elements to his already great image.

I put him forward to the magazine because I really wanted to work with him again and I felt he deserved a new shoot and interview about his latest album ‘ No More Distractions.’

My idea for the shoot was to elevate his very current street wear style with high end elegant pieces and a 70’s Miami Vice twist. I went for brands like Gucci, Haider Ackerman, Universal Projects, Ami, John Laurence Sullivan etc and I paired those brands with Vans and Converse to give them the kind of street / casual twist both me and Justin (J) like and keep it relevant to the Highsnobiety audience.

We shot both in studio and at a great location house and I had the amazingly talented Hamish Stepenson on camera duties. The shoot will be out soon…watch this space!
