I had the pleasure to chat with a bunch of awesome bands backstage at Download Festival.

This was only my 3rd time at Download but it’s always been my favourite Festival, hands down!

My first time was in 2006, many years ago! My second was last year and now I think I’ll be going most years from now on! For ages, I just stopped going to festivals, but now I’m older and in a position to work with these companies I’m really excited to be experiencing it all over again!

So yes I was invited and this was a ‘gifted’ experience. I was then invited to interview some of the acts!

I spoke to; Rou from Enter Shikari, Sumo Cyco, Nova Twins, Roam and Kim Jennet.

The weather wasn’t the best this year but I still had a great time. I felt so sorry for anyone who was camping, I chose a hotel stay, which was totally worth it!
My first night was a gifted experience to thanks to the amazing people at Ibis Nottingham which was about 30 minutes from the festival, and really easy to get to with the buses which run regularly back and forth.
The one amazing thing about Download is the mentality. Everyone is super friendly, they are very conscious as a festival in general. They have a cup scheme which stops plastic littering and you are encouraged to bring reusable bottles. There is a mental health area, yoga, and even a camp for people coming on their own called Camp Loner, where you can go specifically to make new friends if you didn’t have any to come with! HOW NICE IS THAT!?!

You can watch my video interviews below, and be sure to go leave me some feedback or who you would like to see me speak to next on the Youtube comments.
I’m already stoked for next year.

If you see me at a festival please come say hi!
